New crane doubles strength

A new overhead ten-ton crane has doubled the lifting capacity of the ECF team. The twin beam unit was installed in ECF’s Carlton factory in March, replacing their original 5-ton crane. This will open up a much larger scope of fabrication and work shop area. Production manager Peter Cooper said: “The capacity to lift the extra weight will enable us to fabricate a new range of heavier oil and gas projects that we couldn’t lift before.
