With the decline of British Shipbuilding and the marine industry a Bamford needed a new product, and so designed a range of vandal resistant, high strength, security doors and screens using the same high quality and knowledge that had given them their reputation in the marine industry.

The range of screens and doors we offer has proved to be successful, and now is our main area of production, although the marine division continues to specialise in the supplying long, thin and difficult propeller shafts, and high definition propellers.

The flow switch business has also grown, and now offers not only its traditional range but also ATEX certified switches, flowmeters and a unique fibre optic wear gauge for real time measurement of the wear in difficult to access bearings.
