Sept 2016 DXF – Direct to Machine

27-09-2016

Sept 2016 DXF – Direct to Machine dxf For many years we have accepted CAD files which are then converted to run files on the various tool-less cutting machines we use for production. We have now extended this facility to our 3D mould tool manufacture, accepting all types of 3D drawings along with more conventional 2D. This facility has now been extended to non-contact measurement – in both 2D and 3D allowing us to replicate parts from original samples with high precision – while conventional operator CAD is still used for many of the simple shapes we manufacture, the ability to reproduce accurate drawings from NCM equipment takes us to the forefront of technical advancement in our industry. While there are some costs involved in using this equipment – they are negligible to the high costs involved for many of the complicated 3D drawings we are expected to work to nowadays.
