About Us
Worthington Cylinders was formed in 1971, when Worthington Industries bought Lennox Industries’ cylinder division. The cylinder division was a natural outlet for the processed steel Worthington Industries already controlled, making it a very viable part of the larger business model.
From its modest beginning, Worthington Cylinders has been a quiet, yet consistent contributor to Worthington Industries’ overall financial picture.
Since starting out, the cylinder division has strived to add new sensible products while supporting those already in the market. That strategy, along with the support of thousands of employees, is what enabled us to become the leading supplier of pressure cylinders.
