Equipment Risk Assessments

In situations where equipment is already installed in a hazardous area without certification, it is often possible to demonstrate compliance with a risk assessment. The measure is known as the fundamental Essential Safety and Health Requirements (ESHRs) of the regulations as embodied in the equipment construction standards, and the employer has to completely justify his decision.
